Shimla the capital of Himachal
Pradesh is one of the most preferable destination for tourist around India.
Living in Delhi gave me several opportunity to visit Shimla in different
seasons and this how I came to know when to visit Shimla. As a travel lover I
have covered almost all the famous places across India but I love to prefer
north whenever I plan for short trip. So let’s start by point to point-
Shimla in spring and summer (March to June):-Shimla
experience pleasant weather all the year and people love to enjoy every season.
During the summer and spring temperature keeps around 20 degree Celsius. People
during the summer love to escape from hot sunny weather to Shimla. In the
evening the little cold weather gives you perfect moment to enjoy during
summer. Most of the adventures activities are open during the summer season
like paragliding, hiking, camping, trekking etc.
Shimla in winter: -winters are the best time to
visit Shimla especially for tourists who want experience the snowfall and
explore the snow-clad town. Winter in Shimla starts in November but the coldest
months are December and January and temperature ranges between 8 degree to -6
degree Celsius. Mostly people love to travel Shimla in winter to experience
snowfall. You can enjoy the winter sports activities like hiking, skiing camping
etc.
Shimla in monsoon: -Mainly the monsoon season is
between July to September during this season Shimla face heavy rainfall and it
is not good time for tourism. During this season the average rainfall is 1400
mm. usually the monsoon is consider as off season for travelers. You can book Shimla
tour package at cheap rate. Sometimes the monsoon
season extends to October also due to heavy rainfall.
There are several places around
Shimla which makes your trip exceptional which are-
Kufri: -Kufri is located 10 K.M away from Shimla.
However there is nothing much to explore except little trekking, mesmerizing
view and temples.
Chail: -Chail is a small hill station situated
close to Shimla. It is also known for highest cricket ground and the heritage
hotel, Chail palace.
Mashobra: -Mashobra is a lush green expanse in
Himachal Pradesh located on the height of 7700 feet. It is the perfect
alternate for people who love less crowded place away from Shimla.
