World Largest River Island: -Majuli is located in the Jorhat district of Assam, the island is situated in the ferocious Brahmaputra and spread around 1100 square K.M. Largest Monastery in India: - Tawang is famous for its exquisite beauty and situated in Tawang district of Arunachal Pradesh. Only Floating Lake in the World: - Loktak Lake is the only floating lake in the world and it is one of the largest fresh water lake in northeast India. Loktak is located near Moirang in Manipur. Only Root Bridge in the world: - Worlds only living Root Bridge is situate in Meghalaya. These are hand made from aerial roots of Rubber trees by the Khasi people. Only producer of golden (Muga) silk in the world: - Assam is the only place in the world who produce golden silk which is one of the three types of Assam silk. The silk has a natural yellowish golden lint with a shimmering glossy texture.
