Usually it’s a two day trip from Kullu.

Whenever you become old enough to travel with your friends, loved ones or solo the first thing comes in your mind from where to start? Being a traveler I have been every part of India but one that remains special forever is Kashmir. I always suggest to visit Kashmir for the first timers. With this blog I am going to give you perfect reason why to prefer Kashmir for first time travelling across India.
Immense Beauty: -Freshness in air and heart melting scenery will make you feel like never go back to home. There are gardens around which keeps unparalleled beauty and hill stations like Gulmarg, Pahalgam & Son Marg; Kashmir have all the joy you love to have. The beauty keep changing according to summer and winter. You can experience Gondola ride and houseboat and I am sure it would be heart melting.
Culture: - Kashmiri culture and people are very genuine and caring. When you visit to Kashmir, you will come to know so much about Kashmiris who welcomes you with smile.
Food: - For all food lovers like me, Kashmir is the perfect place to be. Especially the traditional Kashmiri cuisine is worth of tasting. Once you have you won’t resist yourself of visiting again. Roghan Josh is my personal favorite.

Weather: - You can experience extreme winter, but if you want to enjoy a snowfall Nov and Dec is the best time to visit. You would see sheet of snow all around there. I visited during Nov and Dec and I want to say that winter was tolerable. However Kashmir glows in spring also as whole Kashmir looks different in summer.

Lakes:- Lakes in Kashmir can make you feel delighted. There are two famous Lake which you would love to explore are Dal Lake and Wular Lake. Dale Lake is one of the most famous Lakes in Kashmir, the Dal Lake is made of three lakes and keeps a unique look. This is due to maze like waterways, channels, houseboats and floating islands- all making it look like a group of Islands in a water body.  You can experience houseboat stay. Wular Lake is the largest fresh water Lake. The lake is spread around 130sq K.M and this Lake supports rich bio diversity and many lives depends upon fish and aquatic vegetation.

Gulmarg: - Gulmarg keeps one of the most scenic beauty and dream destination for couples. There are events like music and adventure festivals organized by locals of Gulmarg.
