We all know that
Shimla is the heart of Himachal. As it is the capital of Himachal the place is
well developed, however Shimla keeps an unparalleled beauty around. In this
blog I am going to share some places around Shimla which can make your trip
exceptional. When I visited Shimla I booked Shimla tour package for 8 days, so
I had enough time to roam around Shimla. It’s been almost 5 years and whenever
I get time I travel to Himachal and specially Shimla. Now coming to the main
point I am listing them one by one.
The utter beauty of Shimla: - Shimla is surrounded by seven hills; each of them is covered by
dense forest and snow on the top. The greenery of forest and snow combination makes
Shimla mesmerizing. However Shimla is declared as a summer capital of colonial
India because of cool climate all the year.
What to see: - Shimla have plenty of sightseeing around the city and promises
to entertain visitors all the time. Places which are Gem of Shimla are the
Ridge, the Scandal point, Jakhoo hills and Daranghati Senctuary. You can even
explore small towns around Shimla like Mashobra and Chail.
Lifetime activities at Shimla: -Shimla offers awesome range of activities for visitors, Kufri is
known as winter sports capital. Located approx. 2000 meter above sea level. You
can enjoy sports activities like skiing, Mountain biking, river rafting and ice
skating. Even you can enjoy camping with bonfire at hill side.
Wildlife adventure: - The hill side area and cool climate makes place suitable for
various species of wildlife. You will able to see Langur, Leopards, Barking
deer and other rare animals. As we all know Shimla is close to Tibetan border
so you can spot few Himalayan yaks around there.
Trekking and Exploring Mountains: - As I said earlier Shimla is surrounded by lofty range of
mountains, you can enjoy mountaineering. The Himalayan ranges also known as
Mountaineering paradise. You can camp at mountain side to see sunrise from the
top of the mountain.
Shopping in Shimla- You can enjoy shopping at Mall road which is the main point of
attraction in Shimla town area. You will able to see various kinds of warm
cloths which are best during the winter. You can even bargain as these shops
offers cheap rates.
